Back To School
And just like that summer with these three is officially over.
Wishing my 8th, 5th, and 3rd grader a fantastic school year!

Rainy day calls for lazy perfection and almond croissant. Any plans for the Oscars?
My daughter and I attended the Modern Calligraphy class with Sandelin Designs hosted by Anthropologie over the weekend. She told me that modern calligraphy is like a fancier version of the cursive writing she is learning at school ;-) We had a great time learning and bonding and the macaroons were definitely a hit. If you are looking for a fun event to take your daughter to or just have a little time to yourself, make sure to sign up with Anthropologie for their upcoming events.
Valentine's Day is almost here, and what a better way to celebrate the month of love with your loved ones with a simple DIY succulents and chocolate cake.
The pebbles are from Michaels and the succulents are from Home Depot.
I got this utensil holder from Target and used here as planter.
I got this second planter from a local shop in St. Helena (similar here).
Happy Valentine's Day amor!

How cute is this pink candy cake? I got the inspiration while looking for a rug at Home Goods. You see I was so distracted with all the pink hearts, candies, gummies, and macaroons for Valentine's Day that I ended up getting them instead of the rug. Yes, that's my story every time I go to Home Goods and Target.
This cake is literally so easy to make and perfect to get your kids involved. Whether you bake and frost your own cake at home or purchase it, it's almost impossible to mess up. The candies cover up any imperfections in the frosting, and the more randomly they're placed, the better it will look in the end.
If you are baking here is my favorite chocolate cake recipe and buttercream frosting. Happy baking!

The kids and I started this fun project called “new washer and dryer” last June. We would put money into the jar every time we do laundry. Today we are donating all our savings to “pennies for patients” in support of Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Thank you to our very generous sponsor David Oro.
January 5th marks the day my sweet boy came into this world and joined our family. He is smart, curious, considerate, thoughtful, determined, responsible, helpful, and above all else, kind. I love when he’ll crawl into my bed in the early hours of the morning and cuddle in between me and his daddy for a few moments as we wake up together. It's the only way he wants to start his day.
Happiest Birthday my handsome boy! I can’t wait to watch you conquer all your dreams!

While the 2/3 of the country are suffering through record cold temperature right now, we are so thankful to live in California.
My heart all in one place. So thankful for my three babies and for this guy. Hope you all had a wonderful thanksgiving week with your loved ones.

Happy Halloween from our clan to yours! We cannot wait to get outside to trick-or-treat with our new puppy, who is not very impressed with her new unicorn hat. Below are some more photos of our weekend at the pumpkin patch. We wish you all a wonderful Halloween and be safe!
We went to Sacramento for a couple of days to escape the smoke and get relief from the daily anxiety during the Napa fire. It was so nice to see blue sky and breathe clean air. And how cute is our puppy Stella! She is definitely making herself very comfortable in the trailer.

Here are ways you can help Napa and Sonoma community during this difficult time:
2. Buy local and support Napa and Sonoma wineries
3. Give hugs to your friends and family
4. Show kindness to your neighbors
5. Give thanks to your local first responders
xx - Patricia
This is by far the easiest and yummiest lemon poppy seed cake I've ever made. The whole loaf was devoured by three very hungry monkeys before it had a chance to cool.
I highly recommend to get this book if you like to bake. Happy Monday! - xx Patricia
One year older, a bit taller, and still showing us each and everyday how beautiful life is. We love how you see the world Leah. You are a bright light, and spark of joy in our lives. Six years ago you made us parents for the third time. I remember your wild and slow birth like it was yesterday. Today is a special one and we love you so. Happy Birthday darling girl!
This girl is headed to middle school! Thank you Monday Sparkles for the cutest graduation party favors. I see a lot of pool time in the near future!
I had no idea how hard (yet amazing) motherhood would be until I had them. Grateful for all the heart exploding moments and even the tough ones. Happy Mother's Day to all the mamas out there. We are all #momlikethat!
We love taking the ferry to San Francisco for a day trip. We get to relax, talk and see more. And the anticipation of all the yummy foods waiting for us at the ferry building is usually the best!
Taking Uber to Japantown.
Our favorite kind of mochi. So good!
Ramen for lunch at Waraku
Uber back to the ferry building.
Best part of our trip - Ice cream!
Missing you daddy!
The next day we spent the morning at our local library checking out books and reading stories.
Spinach Manciatas from Azzuro Pizzeria for lunch.
Best margarita pizza in town!
We kicked off our spring break with a brand new haircut and yummy lunch at our favorite local restaurant.
Took the kids to Nut Tree in Vacaville for rides, shopping, and some real American Chinese food.
The next day, we went to Oakland Zoo with the grandparents. Never too young or old to visit the zoo! ;-)
Thanks for stopping by! Stay tuned for Part II.
Last week my son and I had some special time together. We went to our favorite local bookstore and yogurt place for some sweet treats. We had a great time and I love this guy so much!
